Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Needs no water or light, so it can also stand in a dark spot.
Pro: Always keeps its shape and never drops leaves.
Pro: Colourful heart-shaped leaves that never fade from lack of light.
Con: Doesn't purify the air or grow like a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you'll need to dust it now and then.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Caladium bicolor

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

Hoe maak je een kunst Caladium schoon?

Dust it now and then with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to keep the leaves looking fresh. The artificial Caladium needs no other maintenance: no water and no light.

How real does an artificial Caladium look?

It's a lifelike replica, with the heart-shaped leaves in white-pink or green-pink. From a few metres away most people won't notice it's an artificial plant. Very close up, or when you touch the leaves, you can tell it isn't real.

Past een kunst Caladium in een sierpot?

The artificial Caladium comes in a plain pot (ø15 cm, depending on the size). Place it, pot and all, in a decorative pot a few centimetres wider and the plain pot won't show. As it never gets watered, the decorative pot doesn't need a watertight base.

Can you put an artificial Caladium outside or in the sun?

Yes. The artificial Caladium is UV and weather resistant, so it can also go outdoors, for example on a patio or balcony. The colours stay vibrant, even in the sun. Outdoors, do stand it firmly or weigh down the pot so it does not blow over in strong wind.

How is an artificial Caladium delivered?

We send the artificial Caladium well protected in a closed box. It usually arrives within 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, send us photos and we will sort out a solution.
