Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, when ordering pots, decorative pots, artificial plants and accessories, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt, without giving a reason. If your order arrives in several shipments, the period starts on receipt of the last shipment. You then have a further 14 days to send the product back.

Living plants are excluded

Living plants are natural products that decline in quality quickly after shipping. That's why the right of withdrawal doesn't apply to living plants (Article 6:230p(f) of the Dutch Civil Code). You can still withdraw from the purchase of a decorative pot bought with a plant. Your rights if a plant isn't in good condition on delivery remain unaffected. Gift cards with a personal message and other products made to your specifications are also excluded.

How to return an item

Let us know about your return within 14 days of receipt via info@xxlplant.com, with your order number and the product you're sending back. You can also use the model withdrawal form, which you'll find at xxlplant.com/pages/ruilen-en-retourneren. You'll receive the return address within one working day. Send the product back within 14 days of letting us know, well packed and preferably in its original packaging. Keep your proof of postage.

Condition of the product

You may unpack and inspect the product as you would in a shop. Please handle it carefully. If it's been used more than necessary to inspect it, we may charge for the loss in value.

Costs

You cover the cost of returning items. Large pots that can't go as a regular parcel are returned by courier; you'll get a price beforehand for this.

Refunds

We refund the purchase amount via your original payment method, no later than 14 days after your withdrawal. We may wait to refund you until we've received the product or until you've shown that you've sent it back. If you withdraw from the entire order, we'll also refund the standard delivery costs. If you return part of it, we'll refund any extra shipping costs that product cost you.

Damage and complaints

Is your order damaged or did you receive the wrong item? You don't need to send back a damaged plant. Let us know as soon as possible, ideally within 14 days of receipt, via info@xxlplant.com. Photos of the address label, the packaging, the whole product and the damage help us act quickly. For transport damage, we'll send a free replacement, or refund you if that's not possible. Your legal rights regarding a product that doesn't conform to the contract always remain in force.
