Details

Two eternal flame plants with dark green leaves, a purple underside and orange flowers like small torches. For partial shade in the bedroom or bathroom.

Species: Calathea crocata · Height: 45 cm (including nursery pot)

The eternal flame plant (Calathea crocata) has dark green, gently wavy leaves with a purple underside and flowers with orange blooms that rise above the foliage like small torches. You receive two plants, 45 cm tall including the grow pot, each in a pot of ø14 cm.

Place them together as a pair or spread them across two spots, for example in the bedroom, a bathroom with a window or a corner of the living room out of direct sun. They suit someone who enjoys spending a little time with their plants. Too much sun fades the leaves. Keep the soil lightly moist with lukewarm, low-lime water or rainwater, mist the leaves regularly and never let the potting soil dry out completely, even in winter.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.
