The Calathea 'Elgergrass' is a prayer plant with slender, green leaves on long stems that together form an airy clump. It's 70 cm tall including the grow pot and sits in a pot of ø17 cm.

Place it on a low plant table, a sideboard, or on the floor next to a chair, and in the evening you'll see the leaves stand up more upright. A bright spot out of direct sun suits it best. Don't let the soil dry out and water preferably with lime-free water or rainwater; slightly more humid air keeps the leaf edges intact. For anyone with cats or dogs, this is a suitable green houseplant, as it's not toxic to them. It's delivered in the grow pot; you choose a decorative pot separately.

How do you care for a Calathea Elgergrass?

Place it in a bright spot out of direct sun and do not let the soil dry out. Ideally water with soft water or rainwater. From April to September, feed every two weeks with houseplant fertiliser at half strength.
