Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Needs no water or light, so it can also stand in a dark spot.
Pro: Always keeps its shape and never drops leaves.
Pro: Available in several leaf colours and sizes from 21 to 140 cm.
Con: Does not purify the air or grow over time the way a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you need to wipe the leaves with a damp cloth now and then.

Details

This artificial Eucalyptus (Blue Gum) plant brings a fresh, Mediterranean atmosphere into your home with lifelike silver-green leaves. Maintenance-free and beautiful all year round — ideal for those who love the eucalyptus look without the hassle.

Species: Eucalyptus sp. (artificial plant) · Height: 140 cm · Pot size: ø15 cm · Material: plastic

This artificial plant is a replica eucalyptus, with long branches full of round, grey-green leaves. The soft colour suits bright, natural interiors with wood, linen or rattan well. The plant is 140 cm tall and stands in a pot of ø15 cm, so it can go on the floor in a decorative pot or in a tall vase. It works well in the bedroom, the hallway or the office. It needs no light or water, so a corridor or a corner without a window is a fine spot too, where a real eucalyptus wouldn't survive. Dusting it now and then with a soft cloth or duster keeps it looking good. A decorative pot is chosen separately.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Eucalyptus sp.

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How do you clean an artificial eucalyptus?

Wipe the leaves now and then with a slightly damp cloth and it will look fresh again. The artificial eucalyptus needs no other maintenance: no water, no feeding and no sun.

How real does an artificial eucalyptus look?

It's a lifelike replica, with the round little leaves, available in green, yellow, purple, white and multicoloured. From a few metres away most people can't tell it's artificial. Up close, or if you touch the leaves, you will notice it isn't real.

Will an artificial eucalyptus fit in a decorative pot?

The artificial eucalyptus comes in a standard pot (ø9 to ø18 cm, depending on the size). Place it, pot and all, in a decorative pot a few centimetres wider so the pot is hidden. As it never needs water, the decorative pot does not need a watertight base.

Can you put an artificial eucalyptus outside or in the sun?

Yes. The artificial eucalyptus is UV and weather resistant, so it can also stand outdoors, for example on a patio or balcony. The colours keep looking good, even in the sun. Outdoors, do make sure it stands firmly or weigh down the pot, so that it does not blow over in strong wind.

How is an artificial eucalyptus delivered?

We send the artificial eucalyptus well protected in a closed box. It usually arrives within 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, send us photos and we will sort out a solution.
