Details

Aglaonema 'Stripes' with long, striped leaves, 80 cm tall. Easy to care for and happy in a spot in partial shade, at home or in the office.

Species: Aglaonema 'Stripes' · Height: 80 cm (including nursery pot) · Pot size: ø21 cm

Aglaonema 'Stripes' is a foliage plant with long, pointed leaves with a light striped pattern on green. This plant is 80 cm tall including the nursery pot and comes in a pot of ø21 cm, with a full cluster of foliage growing from the pot.

An Aglaonema is an easy houseplant for anyone without a sunny windowsill. It does well in partial shade in the living room, office or bedroom, and tolerates less light than many other variegated plants. Bright sun scorches the leaves. Water when the top layer of potting compost is dry and do not allow water to remain in the pot. It likes a warm room and cannot tolerate cold or draughts. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Aglaonema 'Stripes'

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How large is this Aglaonema Stripes?

This Aglaonema 'Stripes' is 80 cm tall, measured including the nursery pot, and comes in a pot of ø21 cm. An Aglaonema grows slowly, so it keeps this size for some time.

Where should you place an Aglaonema Stripes?

In partial shade or in a bright spot without direct sun. It also does reasonably well in a darker spot, although it grows more slowly there.

How often should you water an Aglaonema?

Water when the top layer of soil feels dry, about once a week in summer and less in winter. Soil that is too wet causes root rot.

Is an Aglaonema toxic to cats and dogs?

Yes, the Aglaonema is toxic to cats and dogs. The sap contains calcium oxalate, which irritates the mouth and stomach. Keep it out of reach of pets that chew on plants.

Why is my Aglaonema getting yellow leaves?

One yellow leaf at the bottom is normal. Several yellow leaves usually indicate too much water or cold. Allow the soil to dry out a little more and place it somewhere warmer.
