Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Needs no water or light, so it can also stand in a dark spot.
Pro: Always keeps the same shape and never grows lopsided towards the light.
Pro: Never drops leaves, unlike a real Ficus benjamina.
Con: Doesn't purify the air or grow like a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you'll need to dust it now and then.

Details

XXL artificial Ficus Benjamina plant, 205 cm. Timeless weeping fig, maintenance-free.

Species: Ficus benjamina (artificial plant) · Height: 205 cm · Pot size: ø20 cm · Material: plastic

This artificial plant is a replica of a weeping fig (Ficus benjamina) with a tall, full crown of fine green leaves. At 205 cm tall with a pot of ø20 cm, this is an artificial tree that greens up a large space.

It's meant for a spacious living room, an office lobby, a waiting room or a hall with a high ceiling, even where there's no window nearby. A live ficus of this size needs a lot of light and a fixed spot; this artificial version needs no light, water or feeding, and you can move it whenever you like. Dust the crown occasionally with a duster or a hairdryer on the cold setting. That way it stays just as full for years, with no fallen leaves on the floor.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Ficus benjamina

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How do you clean an artificial Ficus benjamina?

Dust it now and then with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to keep the leaves looking fresh. The artificial Ficus benjamina needs no other care: no water and no light.

How real does an artificial Ficus benjamina look?

It is a lifelike replica, with fine, dense leaves on branching stems. From a few metres away most people cannot tell it is an artificial plant. Up close, or if you touch the leaves, you will notice it is not real.

Past een kunst Ficus benjamina in een sierpot?

The artificial Ficus benjamina comes in a standard pot (ø18 to ø20 cm, depending on the size). Place it, pot and all, in a decorative pot a few centimetres wider so the pot is hidden. As it never needs watering, the decorative pot does not need a watertight base.

Kun je een kunst Ficus benjamina buiten of in de zon zetten?

Yes. The artificial Ficus benjamina is UV and weather resistant, so it can also go outside, for example on the patio or balcony. The colours stay looking good, even in the sun. Outdoors, do position it firmly or weigh down the pot so it doesn't blow over in strong wind.

Hoe wordt een kunst Ficus benjamina bezorgd?

We ship the artificial Ficus benjamina well protected in a closed box. The largest plants go with a specialised carrier, otherwise PostNL or DHL. It usually arrives within 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, send us photos and we will sort out a solution.
