Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Needs no water or light, so it can also stand in a dark spot.
Pro: Always keeps its shape and never drops leaves.
Pro: At 180 cm it fills an empty corner without you having to look after it.
Con: Does not purify the air or grow over time the way a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you need to wipe the leaves with a damp cloth now and then.

Details

This artificial Eucalyptus (Blue Gum) plant brings a fresh, Mediterranean atmosphere into your home with lifelike silver-green leaves. Maintenance-free and beautiful all year round - ideal for those who love the eucalyptus look without the hassle.

Species: Eucalyptus globulus (artificial plant) · Height: 180 cm · Material: plastic

This artificial plant is modelled on the blue gum tree (Eucalyptus globulus), with round, blue-green leaves on long, open branches. At a height of 180 cm it stands as an airy tree on the floor of a living room, a hallway or a spacious bedroom. The soft blue-green colour combines well with wood, concrete and light fabrics. It needs no water, light or care and keeps the same shape and colour all year round, even in a spot without a window. Dusting it gently now and then with a duster keeps the leaves looking fresh. This way you have a large eucalyptus in the house without having to think about sun or watering. A decorative pot is chosen separately.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Eucalyptus globulus

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How do you clean a 180 cm artificial eucalyptus?

Wipe the leaves now and then with a slightly damp cloth and it will look fresh again. The artificial eucalyptus of 180 cm needs no other maintenance: no water, no feeding and no sun.

How real does a 180 cm artificial eucalyptus look?

It is a lifelike replica, with silvery green leaves. From a few metres away most people cannot tell it is artificial. Up close, or if you touch the leaves, you can tell it is not real.

Does a 180 cm artificial eucalyptus fit in a decorative pot?

The 180 cm artificial eucalyptus comes in a standard pot. Place it, pot and all, in a decorative pot a few centimetres wider so the pot is hidden. As it never needs water, the decorative pot does not need a watertight base.

Can you put a 180 cm artificial eucalyptus outdoors or in the sun?

Yes. The 180 cm artificial eucalyptus is UV and weather resistant, so it can also go outdoors, for example on a patio or balcony. The colours stay vibrant, even in the sun. Outdoors, do stand it firmly or weigh down the pot so it does not blow over in strong wind.

How is a 180 cm artificial eucalyptus delivered?

We ship the 180 cm artificial eucalyptus well protected in a closed box. The largest plants are delivered by a specialist carrier, otherwise by PostNL or DHL. You will usually receive it within 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, send us photos and we will sort out a solution.
