Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Needs no water or light, so it can also go in a dark spot.
Pro: Always keeps its shape and never drops leaves.
Pro: Very small 8 cm size, for a shelf, table or windowsill.
Con: Doesn't purify the air or grow like a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you'll need to dust it now and then.

Details

Lifelike artificial Ice Plant with sparkling leaves. Small, attractive, and maintenance-free.

Species: Delosperma sp. (artificial plant) · Height: 8 cm · Pot size: ø9 cm · Material: plastic

This artificial plant mimics an ice plant (Delosperma), a low succulent with compact, juicy-looking green leaves growing close together. It is only 8 cm tall and stands in a pot of ø9 cm, so it's really meant for small spots.

Place it on your desk, a narrow windowsill, a bathroom shelf or between books on a shelf. Since it needs no light or water, you can put it anywhere, even in a room without a window. Thanks to its size, it's also handy for completing a group of artificial plants with something low. Blow or wipe off the dust occasionally. The leaves don't discolour, so it looks the same year after year.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

When will your plant arrive?

Frequently asked questions about Delosperma sp.

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How do you clean an artificial ice plant?

Dust it now and then with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to keep the leaves looking fresh. The artificial ice plant needs no further care: no water and no light.

How real does an artificial ice plant look?

It is a lifelike replica, with sparkling, fleshy leaves. From a few metres away most people cannot tell it is an artificial plant. Very close up, or if you touch the leaves, you will notice it is not real.

Does an artificial ice plant fit in a decorative pot?

Can you put an artificial ice plant outdoors or in the sun?

Yes. The artificial ice plant is UV and weather resistant, so it can also stand outside, for example on the patio or balcony. The colours stay attractive, even in the sun. Outdoors, do place it firmly or weigh down the pot so it does not blow over in strong wind.

How is an artificial ice plant delivered?

We ship the artificial ice plant well protected in a closed box. It usually arrives within 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, send us photos and we will sort out a solution.
