Details

Twenty-four perennials of eight varieties that bring bees and butterflies to your garden, put together for about 3 m² of sunny border.

Type: perennials for bees and butterflies · Quantity: 24 perennials of 8 varieties · Area: about 3 m² · Pot size: ø11 cm

This border package contains 24 perennials of 8 different varieties, chosen for flowering time, colour and appeal to bees and butterflies. It fills about 3 m² of border. The plants are supplied in a ø11 cm pot, with a height of about 25 cm including nursery pot.

The package is intended for a sunny border where you want colour and insects, without spending ages working out which plants go together. Because the varieties flower one after another, there is something for bees and butterflies for a large part of the season. Plant them in ordinary garden soil that drains well and water regularly for the first few weeks. After that they need little maintenance and come back every year. The selection may vary slightly by season, but largely matches the photo.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Vaste planten, diverse soorten

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

Which plants are in the bees and butterflies border package?

The package contains 24 perennials of 8 different varieties, chosen for flowering time, colour and appeal to bees and butterflies. The selection may vary slightly by season, but largely matches the photo.

Where do you plant the bees and butterflies border package?

In a sunny spot, in ordinary garden soil that drains well. The more sun, the more flowers and the more insects they attract.

How do you plant the bees and butterflies border package?

Spread the 24 perennials over about 3 m², which is around 8 plants per m². Plant them in small groups of the same variety, so the border looks calmer and fills in faster.

When do you plant the bees and butterflies border package?

Potted perennials can be planted all year round, as long as the ground is not frozen or bone dry. Spring and autumn are easiest, because the soil is moist then and the roots establish steadily. Water well after planting.

How is the bees and butterflies border package delivered?

Your plants are shipped upright in their own plant box, with the pots secured. In frost or heat, a heat pack or cold pack is included. If you order from Sunday to Wednesday, you usually receive them within 2-3 working days; from Thursday to Saturday usually within 4-5 working days (only in the Netherlands).
