Calathea orbifolia (now also Goeppertia orbifolia) has broad, almost round leaves with silvery-green stripes on a fresh green background. This plant is 60 cm tall including nursery pot and comes in a pot of ø17 cm.

It originates from the tropical rainforest of South America and likes warmth, partial shade and humid air. A bright spot out of the sun in the living room, bedroom or bathroom is ideal. Keep the soil evenly moist but not wet, and water with rainwater or low-lime water. Do not place it near a radiator or in a draught, as this causes brown leaf edges. Calathea orbifolia is non-toxic to cats and dogs.
