The prayer plant Calathea roseopicta 'Medallion' has large, round leaves with a pattern in several shades of green and a purple underside. This sizeable specimen is 80 cm tall including the grow pot and sits in a pot of ø24 cm.

On the floor next to a sofa or in a corner of the bedroom, the patterned leaves really come into their own, and in the evening the leaves fold up a little. Choose a bright spot to partial shade without direct sunlight, as that fades the pattern. Keep the soil lightly moist with lime-free water or rainwater and provide a little extra humidity to prevent dry leaf edges. It's not toxic to cats and dogs. It's delivered in the grow pot, and you choose the decorative pot separately.
