Details

Three organically grown fruit plants in one set: fig, self-pollinating kiwi and blackberry, for your own harvest in a sunny spot.

Type: organic fruit plants · Quantity: 3 plants, each a different variety · Contents: fig, kiwi and blackberry

The Sweet harvest trio is a set of 3 organically grown fruit plants: a fig (Ficus carica), a self-pollinating kiwi (Actinidia deliciosa) and a blackberry (Rubus fruticosus). You receive young fruit plants of about 20 cm tall, ready to grow on in the garden or in a large pot.

The set suits a sunny garden or a spacious patio, for anyone who wants to pick their own fruit without a large kitchen garden. The kiwi and the blackberry grow as climbing plants and need a fence, trellis or wires; the fig becomes a shrub that does well against a warm wall. All three want sun and soil that drains well. Water regularly, especially while the fruit is developing. Protect the fig and the kiwi against severe frost for the first few winters. The fig is toxic to cats and dogs.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Ficus carica, Actinidia deliciosa, Rubus fruticosus

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

Which plants are in the Sweet harvest trio fruit plant set?

The set contains three organically grown fruit plants: a fig (Ficus carica), a self-pollinating kiwi (Actinidia deliciosa) and a blackberry (Rubus fruticosus). On delivery the plants are about 20 cm tall.

Where do you plant the fruit plants from the Sweet harvest trio?

In a sunny, sheltered spot with soil that drains well. The fig likes to stand against a warm wall. Kiwi and blackberry grow as climbers and need a fence, trellis or wires.

Are the fruit plants from the Sweet harvest trio hardy?

The blackberry is fully hardy. The fig and the kiwi can take frost, but are more vulnerable as young plants; protect them for the first few winters with fleece or a sheltered spot, especially if they are in pots.

When can you harvest from the Sweet harvest trio?

These are young plants, so the first harvest may take one or more seasons to arrive. Blackberries are harvested in late summer, figs from summer into autumn and kiwis in late autumn.

Is the fig from the Sweet harvest trio toxic to cats and dogs?

Yes, according to the ASPCA the fig (Ficus carica) is toxic to cats and dogs; mainly the milky sap in the leaves and stems causes irritation. Place the set where pets cannot chew on the leaves.

How is the Sweet harvest trio fruit plant set delivered?

Your plants are shipped upright in their own plant box, with the pots secured. In frost or heat, a heat pack or cold pack is included. If you order from Sunday to Wednesday, you usually receive them within 2-3 working days; from Thursday to Saturday usually within 4-5 working days (only in the Netherlands).
