Het mag wel wat plant vriendelijker worden bezorgd. De plant kwam een beetje beschadigd aan. Door dat de bladeren op een onjuiste manier in de doos waren gestopt. Verder is het een mooie plant.

Veelgestelde vragen over Acer palmatum 'Jordan'
De vragen die we het vaakst krijgen over deze plant. Staat jouw vraag er niet bij? Onze plantexperts helpen je graag.
Stel je vraagHow big is the Japanese maple 'Jordan' on delivery?
On delivery the plant is about 70 centimetres tall, measured including the 19 centimetre nursery pot. Japanese maples grow slowly, so it stays suitable for a pot or a small garden for years.
When do you plant a Japanese maple?
In spring or autumn, when the ground is not frozen. Water well after planting. In a pot you can keep it outside all year, with a drainage hole so excess water can drain away.
Where do you put Acer palmatum 'Jordan'?
In partial shade in a sheltered spot, in the garden or in a pot on the patio. The yellow leaves scorch quickly in harsh midday sun and strong wind; morning sun is fine.
Is a Japanese maple hardy?
Yes, Acer palmatum is hardy. In a pot the roots are more vulnerable, so move the pot against the house wall during a severe frost. The tree drops its leaves in autumn and sprouts again in spring.
When do you prune a Japanese maple?
Little pruning is needed. Only remove dead or crossing branches, in late summer or winter. Do not prune in spring, as the tree will then bleed sap from the wounds.
