Details

Japanese maple with pink to red emerging spring leaves and orange autumn colour. About 70 cm tall, for a pot on patio or balcony and the border.

Species: Acer palmatum 'Phoenix' · Pot: ø19 cm · Height: 70 cm

Acer palmatum 'Phoenix' is a Japanese maple with fine, palmate leaves that emerge a striking pink to red in spring. During the summer the leaves become greener and in autumn they turn orange. This plant is about 70 cm tall including nursery pot and comes in a ø19 cm pot.

It fits well in a pot on the patio or balcony and in the border, where the spring colour stands out against green plants. Place it in sun or partial shade, sheltered from strong wind and bright afternoon sun, in humus-rich soil that does not dry out. The maple is hardy and loses its leaves in winter.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

When will your plant arrive?

Can you keep a Japanese maple in a pot?

What colour is Acer palmatum 'Phoenix'?
