In a spot in sun or partial shade, in well-drained soil that does not dry out. An airy spot helps against powdery mildew.
How do you prune a gooseberry?
Prune after harvest. Remove old, crossing and inward-growing branches so the bush stays open. The berries then ripen better and the plant is less prone to mould.
