The Chamaedorea Elegans, also known as the Parlor Palm, is a compact palm with delicate, feathery leaves in a fresh deep green. This elegant houseplant fits into any interior and is ideal for those who like a low-maintenance green housemate.

The parlour palm (Chamaedorea elegans) is a graceful, small palm with fine, feathery leaves on thin stems. Several plants stand together in the pot, giving it a full look; this specimen is 100 cm tall, measured including the grower's pot, and stands in a pot of ø24 cm.

It looks lovely in the bedroom, in the office or in a living room that gets little sun, as it grows well in partial shade and dislikes direct sunlight. That makes it suitable for a spot where many other palms would get too little light. Keep the soil slightly moist, but don't let it stand in water. In dry air, misting now and then helps against brown tips. The parlour palm is not toxic to cats and dogs. It's supplied in the grower's pot.
