Calathea majestica 'Whitestar' is a peacock plant with green leaves full of white and light pink stripes along the veins. It is also called a living plant, because its leaves close when it gets dark and open again in daylight. This plant is 50 cm tall including the nursery pot and comes in a pot of ø19 cm.

It comes from the rainforests of South America and is used to high humidity. Mist the leaves regularly with a plant sprayer, especially when the heating is on. Place it in indirect light without direct sun and keep the potting soil slightly moist with small amounts of water. In winter, water a little less. According to the ASPCA, Calathea is non-toxic to cats and dogs. It comes in a nursery pot, and you choose a decorative pot yourself.
