Details

The Phoenix Canariensis is a robust date palm with graceful fan-shaped leaves. This plant instantly adds a tropical holiday feel to your home or patio. A strong, characterful palm for large spaces.

Species: Phoenix canariensis · Height: 80 cm (including nursery pot)

This set consists of three Canary Island date palms (Phoenix canariensis), each 80 cm tall including the grow pot in a pot of ø15 cm. The palms have long, feathered leaves with sturdy, pointed leaflets that arch out from the centre. With three matching plants you can create a row along a sunny window, place one on either side of the door, or spread them across a terrace and living room. In summer they like to stand outside in the sun; they can cope with light frost for a short time, but in a small pot it's better to overwinter them somewhere bright and frost-free. Indoors they need the sunniest spot you have. Keep the soil lightly moist without waterlogged roots, and water less in winter. Watch out for the sharp spines at the base of the leaf stalk. Delivered in grow pots; decorative pots are chosen separately.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.
