The Phoenix Roebelenii on a stem is an elegant dwarf date palm with fine, gracefully overhanging feathery leaves. This compact palm immediately brings a chic, tropical feel into your home or a sheltered outdoor spot.

The pygmy date palm (Phoenix roebelenii) is a compact palm with fine, feathery leaves that hang gracefully from a short, rough trunk. This specimen is 100 cm tall, measured including the grower's pot, and stands in a pot of ø21 cm, so it also fits in a smaller room or at a bright workspace.

In summer it can go outside on a sheltered balcony or patio. Give it a bright spot; it tolerates some direct sunlight well. Keep the soil slightly moist in summer and water less in winter. It doesn't tolerate frost, so bring it back indoors in autumn. Watch out for the sharp spines at the base of the leaf stalks. The pygmy date palm is not toxic to cats and dogs.
