Species: Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator Tricolor' · Height: 12 cm (including nursery pot) · Pot size: ø6 cm

Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator Tricolor' is a prayer plant with dark green leaves, a light green feather pattern in the centre and striking red veins. The underside of the leaves is reddish purple. This plant is 12 cm tall including nursery pot, in a pot of ø6 cm.

Because it grows low and wide, it looks good on a table or shelf where you view the leaves from above. In the evening, it folds its leaves upwards. A bright spot without direct sun and humid air keep the pattern beautiful. Give lukewarm, low-lime water and do not let the soil dry out. According to the ASPCA, Maranta is non-toxic to cats and dogs.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator Tricolor'

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How large does a Maranta Fascinator Tricolor grow?

This Maranta is 12 cm tall including nursery pot, in a pot of ø6 cm. It grows in width and over the years usually does not grow taller than about 30 cm.

Where should you place a Maranta Fascinator?

In a bright spot without direct sun. Bright sunlight burns the leaves and makes the red veins fade. Humid air, such as in a bathroom with a window, suits it well.

How often should you water a Maranta?

Keep the soil lightly moist, usually once or twice a week in summer for a small pot. Use rainwater or filtered water at room temperature.

Is a Maranta toxic to cats and dogs?

No, Maranta leuconeura is listed by the ASPCA as non-toxic to cats and dogs.

Why are the leaves of my Maranta curling?

Curled leaves usually mean that the plant is too dry or that the air is too dry. Water it as soon as the top layer is dry and keep it away from the radiator.
