Het mag wel wat plant vriendelijker worden bezorgd. De plant kwam een beetje beschadigd aan. Door dat de bladeren op een onjuiste manier in de doos waren gestopt. Verder is het een mooie plant.

Veelgestelde vragen over Verbena bonariensis
De vragen die we het vaakst krijgen over deze plant. Staat jouw vraag er niet bij? Onze plantexperts helpen je graag.
Stel je vraagHow many Verbena bonariensis do you plant per m²?
At a spacing of 30 to 40 cm you need about 8 plants per m². For an airy effect among other plants you can also scatter them more loosely. The calculator on this page works out the number for you.
When do you plant Verbena bonariensis?
Best in spring, from April to June, when the worst frost is over. The plant then has the whole summer to root and flower.
How tall does Verbena bonariensis grow?
On delivery it is 10 to 25 cm tall in a ø9 cm pot. In the garden it grows to about 120 to 150 cm. Thanks to the thin stems it stays airy and takes up little space.
Is Verbena bonariensis hardy?
It can get through a normal Dutch winter in a dry, sunny spot, but it does not tolerate wet soil and severe frost well. A plant often lives a few years; because it self-seeds, new plants usually appear by themselves.
Do you need to prune Verbena bonariensis?
Leave the stems standing in winter, which protects the plant and lets birds eat the seeds. Cut them back in April when new shoots appear at the base.
