The staghorn fern (Platycerium bifurcatum) owes its name to its forked, grey-green leaves that resemble antlers. At the base it forms round, flat shield fronds that later turn brown; they are part of the plant and should not be removed. This plant is 80 cm tall including the nursery pot and comes in a pot of ø26 cm.

An unusual plant for a tall cabinet or plant table, where the leaves can hang freely. In nature it grows on trees, so it needs an airy position. Place it in bright light without direct sun and only water when the soil is almost dry, preferably by briefly submerging the pot. Mist the leaves occasionally. The staghorn fern is non-toxic to cats and dogs.
