This surprise box contains 12 small tropical houseplants, each in a pot of ø6 cm and approximately 5 to 15 cm tall. Which species you receive varies per delivery: you get a mix of leaf shapes and colours, but you cannot choose the species yourself.

The plants fit on a windowsill without bright sun, a bookshelf or a desk, and are fun to grow yourself or to give away as cuttings. Place them in light to partial shade and keep them warm. In such small pots, the soil dries out quickly, so check regularly whether they need water. After a few months, repot the plants that are growing well into a larger pot. As the species vary, the box may contain plants that are toxic to cats and dogs.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.

As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.
