De vragen die we het vaakst krijgen over deze plant. Staat jouw vraag er niet bij? Onze plantexperts helpen je graag.

Allow about 7 plants per square metre, 35 to 40 centimetres apart. The colour shows best in groups. The calculator on this page works out the number for you.
When does Salvia nemorosa 'Mainacht' flower?
The first flowering starts in May. If you cut the plant back after that flowering, it flowers again, often into September.
Where does Salvia 'Mainacht' grow best?
In full sun, in soil that drains water well. In shade it flops open and flowers less. It does poorly in wet soil in winter.
Is Salvia nemorosa hardy?
Yes, woodland sage is hardy and comes back every year. The part above ground dies back in winter and sprouts again in spring.
How do you prune Salvia 'Mainacht'?
After the first flowering, at the end of June or in July, cut all stems back to a hand's width above the ground. Within a few weeks new foliage and a second flowering appear. In spring, cut away last year's remains.
