Details

Zamioculcas of 60 cm with glossy, deep green leaves. Tolerates lower light and little water, an easy plant for home or the office.

Species: Zamioculcas zamiifolia · Height: 60 cm (including nursery pot) · Pot size: ø17 cm

This ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) has sturdy stems full of glossy, oval leaflets in a deep green colour. It is 60 cm tall, measured including the nursery pot, and comes in a pot of ø17 cm.

It looks good on a desk, sideboard or windowsill, and it also copes well in a spot with little daylight. That is why many people choose it as an easy houseplant for home or the office. The thick root tubers retain water, so let the soil dry out completely before watering again: about once every two weeks in summer, less in winter. Too much water is the biggest pitfall. Keep it away from pets, as the plant is toxic to cats and dogs.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Zamioculcas zamiifolia

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How big is this Zamioculcas?

This Zamioculcas is 60 cm tall, measured including the nursery pot, and comes in a pot of ø17 cm. It grows slowly and produces a few new stems every year.

Where should you place a Zamioculcas?

In a bright spot or partial shade. It also tolerates a darker corner, but grows more slowly there. Turn it occasionally, as the stems bend towards the light.

How often should you water a Zamioculcas?

Sparingly: the plant stores water in its thick root tubers and stems. Once every two weeks in summer, once every three to four weeks in winter. Let the soil dry out completely in between.

Is a Zamioculcas toxic to cats and dogs?

Yes, all parts are toxic if eaten and the sap can irritate the skin. Keep it out of reach of pets that chew on plants.

Why is my Zamioculcas getting yellow leaves?

Usually because of too much water. Let the soil dry out completely before watering again and check that there is no water standing in the pot. A single yellow leaf at the bottom is normal.
