Species: Zamioculcas zamiifolia · Height: 80 cm (including nursery pot) · Pot size: ø21 cm

This Zamioculcas zamiifolia, also known as the ZZ plant, grows with sturdy, upright stems full of glossy, oval leaflets in dark green. It measures 80 cm including the nursery pot and the pot has a diameter of ø21 cm.

Its symmetrical shape makes it look neat on a sideboard, on a windowsill without full sun or next to a workstation in an office. For those with little time, this is an easy plant: the rhizomes store water, so it can skip a watering. Light to partial shade is suitable and the soil may dry out completely between waterings. Please note that the plant is toxic to cats and dogs. You receive it in the nursery pot; you choose a decorative pot yourself.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Zamioculcas zamiifolia

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How big is this Zamioculcas?

This Zamioculcas is 80 cm tall including the nursery pot and comes in a pot of ø21 cm. It grows slowly, so it stays approximately this size for a long time.

Can a Zamioculcas be placed in a dark spot?

A Zamioculcas tolerates low light better than most houseplants, but it will barely grow there. A bright spot without harsh afternoon sun is best. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves.

How often do you water a Zamioculcas?

Let the potting soil dry out completely between waterings. In summer, this usually means once every two to three weeks, and in winter once a month. Never leave water standing in the pot or saucer.

Is a Zamioculcas toxic to pets?

Yes, a Zamioculcas is toxic to cats and dogs because of the calcium oxalate in the leaves and stems. Chewing causes irritation in the mouth and stomach. Place it high up or in a room that pets do not enter.

Why is my Zamioculcas falling over or are the stems bending?

Limp or bending stems are usually caused by too little light or too much water. Move the plant to a brighter spot and allow the soil to stay dry for longer. You can cut long stems off at the base; new ones will grow from the rhizome.
