Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Heeft geen water of licht nodig, dus kan ook op een donkere plek staan.
Pro: Blijft altijd in vorm en laat geen blad vallen.
Pro: Japanse boomvorm in 100 of 180 cm.
Con: Doesn't purify the air or grow like a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you'll need to dust it now and then.

Details

Lifelike artificial Acer Palmatum plant, 180 cm. Stately Japanese eye-catcher, maintenance-free.

Species: Acer palmatum (artificial plant) · Height: 180 cm · Pot size: ø20 cm · Material: plastic

This artificial tree is modelled on the Japanese maple (Acer palmatum), with gracefully lobed leaves in warm autumn tones on a branching crown. It is 180 cm tall and stands in a pot of ø20 cm, giving a room a warm colour.

It looks lovely in a living room, an office or a spacious hallway, even where little daylight comes in. A real Japanese maple is an outdoor plant that won't survive indoors; this artificial version stays full and colourful all year round. No watering, pruning or seeking a bright spot needed. Dust the leaves occasionally with a duster. That way you have the autumn look of a maple in your home all year round.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Acer palmatum

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How do you clean an artificial Japanese maple (Acer palmatum)?

Dust it now and then with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to keep the leaves looking fresh. The artificial Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) needs no other care: no water and no light.

How real does an artificial Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) look?

Hij is levensecht nagemaakt, met het fijne, handvormige blad. Op een paar meter afstand zien de meeste mensen niet dat het een kunstplant is. Van heel dichtbij of als je het blad aanraakt, merk je wel dat hij niet echt is.

Will an artificial Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) fit in a decorative pot?

The artificial Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) comes in a standard pot (ø16 to ø20 cm, depending on the size). Place it, pot and all, in a decorative pot a few centimetres wider so the pot is hidden. As it never needs water, the decorative pot does not need a watertight base.

Kun je een kunst Japanse esdoorn (Acer palmatum) buiten of in de zon zetten?

Yes. The artificial Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) is UV and weather resistant, so it can also go outdoors, for example on a patio or balcony. The colours stay vibrant, even in the sun. Outdoors, do place it securely or weigh down the pot so it does not blow over in strong wind.

How is an artificial Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) delivered?

We send the artificial Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) well protected in a closed box. The largest plants go with a specialist carrier, otherwise with PostNL or DHL. Delivery usually takes 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, send us photos and we'll sort out a solution.
